In just two months, I will mark a significant milestone: my 10-year anniversary with Olam Information Services Private Limited.
20 years in technology is a lifetime. When I first started this journey, the landscape looked very different. We were solving problems using FoxPro, Visual Basic, ,net and WCF, often relying on heavy Excel workflows to manage data.

Today, the problems are the same—feeding the world and managing risk—but the tools have completely transformed. I am proud to now be working at the cutting edge, utilizing Snowflake, Cloud Architecture, and the Power Platform. My focus has shifted to advanced Analytics and AI, leading the charge in the CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) space for the freight and commodities segment.
Reaching this milestone has me reflecting on three key lessons I’ve learned while bridging the gap between legacy systems and modern cloud data:

Tech changes, but domain knowledge is permanent. Understanding the nuance of Agriculture Supply Chains is just as important as the code we write.
Data is the asset. Moving from on-premise .NET apps to cloud-native data platforms has shown me the true power of real-time analytics in trading.
Adaptability is a skill. Staying relevant means constantly learning—moving from VB to AI isn’t just a tech upgrade; it’s a mindset shift.
This decade of depth has me thinking deeply about where the intersection of Commodity Trading and technology is heading next.
I am excited to see what the next chapter of my career brings and the new challenges I can tackle in this evolving industry.
Here’s to continuous growth! 🚀
